 Nico's Weg

A German-language film that tells of a man who goes to Germany to meet his aunt. This film is about 1 hour 40 minutes long. This German-language film makes it very easy to learn German for beginners. This film is very thick with German culture, starting from the food, the atmosphere of the city, and many things that we can take from this film. 

The film opens with a scene of a man named Nico riding an escalator using a headset at the airport. Nico is said to be someone who comes from Seville, Spain. He went to Germany for the purpose of meeting his aunt who was working there. The atmosphere of the airport there is very foreign to Nico, Nico looks confused seeing the airport which looks like he was the first time to go there. Seen a lot of people who met his favorite people, and Nico saw them all and smiled his lips. At the airport a little boy saw Nico's bag and praised him. Then the little boy was called by a woman and invited her to go. When they left, Nico seemed that he wanted to ask the woman for his aunt's address, but unfortunately they had already left. The woman's name is Lisa, and the little boy is named Emma.

The scene changes, Nico heads out of the airport and meets Emma and Lisa who meet him at the airport. Then Nico saw Emma playing a water balloon, and Nico put away the bag and came to play with her. Then because the bag is stored far and close to other people's cars, the driver of the car put the bag into his car because he thought it was the passenger bag in his car. Then when the car left, Nico realized that his bag had been carried along. Nico looks very sad and looks desperate, but Lisa seems to have empathy for Niqo and asks Nico for help. Because Nico seemed to have nothing else at that time, Nico told Lisa that he wanted to meet someone named Yara (Nico shows Yara's photo). When Lisa and Nico were talking, it seemed that Nico didn't speak German fluently so he had difficulty communicating in Germany. However, because of Lisa and Emma's kindness, they are happy to help Nico. Finally Emma and Lisa took Nico by car.

While traveling, Lisa and Emma teach Nico German. Then when at the stop Nico saw a car like the one he saw at the airport. But when Nico looked for his bag, it was not there, it turned out that the car was different from the car he found at the airport. While at the stop, they met Max. Then Max wonders about Nico's origins, and Nico explains that he lost his bag, along with his cell phone number and cell phone. Then max suggests Lisa to take him to his dad who is a cop, he thinks it can help him. Then when Lisa called her father, Nico explained that his passport and ID card were in his bag, all he had right now was his aunt's photo. Nico explains that his aunt owns a bicycle shop in Germany. Long story short, they went to take Emma to her inn. In the car, Nico turned on the radio and heard that there was news that a man had lost his bag and found the bag and Nico called the radio speaker with Lisa's cellphone in hopes that someone would find her bag and return it to the nearest police station. 

The scene changes at Lisa's father's police station and she helps Niqo by asking about Niqo's identity and the background of her going to Germany. The next scene, Lisa takes Niqo to her house and asks her to stay there for a while. At Lisa's house, Niqo meets Nina and Sebastian. Sebastian announces that there will be a party tonight. At Lisa's house they eat and drink, then Sebastian wants to help Nico by asking for a bicycle shop and a photo of his aunt on Facebook. Then Nico meets a new character named Navee, Navee thiswill move out of the house and become the reason for a "farewell" party. Atfarewell party Navee's, Nico is invited to play and learn new things. Then Nico met Selma, a woman from Syria, Damascus. Then they also learn to guess food from various countries. Selma is a refugee from Syria and according to Lisa, Selma does not have a residence permit in Germany yet, but Selma is fluent in German because she is taking German courses. Lisa can speak English, German, and a little Italian. Navee is from Thailand, but he can speak many languages and Navee will later work in France. Then Sebastian arrives and informs him that there has been a response on Facebook regarding Nico's aunt.

The scene changes and shows the next morning, where Lisa is in a hurry to go to where she teaches. Lisa is a German teacher at a German language course. Then Nico comes to the class room where Lisa gets a phone call from someone who sees an ad on Facebook about renting her apartment. Nico went to see Lisa because they wanted to see the bicycle shop that Sebastian told her. Then on the way, they play "I see what you don't see". But it turned out that when they got to the address given, there was no bicycle shop there and they finally left.

The scene changes and shows Lisa and Nico at the bus stop. Lisa tells Nico that Nico can only stay 2 more days in his apartment because Lisa, Sebastian, and Nina are going on vacation and the apartment will be renovated. Lisa and Nico come home, then there are a lot of people who want to see Lisa's apartment, they want to rent it. But they have a lot of willpower and the people who live there don't like them. Lisa feels sad because she feels that no candidate has rented her apartment. Then Lisa is faced with a new problem, she has to leave tomorrow and can't look after Emma at home, and Sebastian Navee has class tomorrow too. So that finally Nico will take care of Emma at home. The next day, Nico accompanies Emma at home and follows the instructions that Lisa gave Nico to take care of Emma. However, Emma is very disobedient and Nico ignores Lisa's instructions.

The scene changes and shows Nico at Max's restaurant and his friend Tarekh working there. Nico was waiting for Lisa to come. Lisa was currently attending a job interview. At the restaurant, Nico helps Max and Tarekh to move goods. Then two of his friends came and asked them to play football. Lisa comes and tells max that Nico can't live in his house anymore. Not long after, an elderly female customer gave Nico the address of her apartment, apparently listening to Lisa and Max's conversation.

Lisa told her that her profession as a teacher was not permanent, so Lisa had to find a permanent job. When Lisa went to do another interview and waited for the results of the interview. Max asks Nico what kind of job he likes, then Niqo replies that his parents see Nico as an engineer. When the chat was going on, they saw Lisa's file left in the restaurant, finally they both ran to where Lisa was and gave the file that was left behind. Long story short, the scene moves and shows the next day and this is a sign that Nico has to move to live and Lisa is going on vacation. Suddenly Lisa's dad comes and tells the address of Nico's aunt's bicycle shop. Then Nico went there but it turned out that the shop was closed. Long story short, when Nico was at Max's restaurant, Nico saw a photo of Yara, the aunt he was looking for. Finally Max takes Nico to his bike shop and informs him that Yara is away, but Yara just before leaving tells her that it's only been a while, but Yara hasn't come home for 2 weeks. 

Nico feels a lot that happened at his new inn, but I will tell you the main story of this film. Nico, who lost his bag at the airport, still couldn't find a bright spot, until finally Selma found Nico's bag on the side of the road and gave it to Nico. Previously it was shown that there were 2 men who took clothes from the contents of the Niqo bag, but fortunately, valuable objects such as passports and cellphones were not lost. Because her clothes were missing, Selma finally took Nico to a clothes shop and bought him lots of clothes for Nico. Then Selma gave her number to Nico, they seemed to like each other. Long story short, Lisa's father, Nico, Max, and Tarekh were at the bicycle shop. Lisa's father is looking into Nico's aunt, Yara. 

The next scene shows Nico, Max and friends playing ball on the field. However, while playing, Nico injured his leg and had to be taken to the nearest hospital. Nico was treated there, and Nico had to walk using a special stick because of his leg injury. The next scene shows Lisa and Selma talking, and Selma announcing that she and her father have officially become German citizenship. The last scene in the film shows Nico at a bicycle shop, hea broken bicycle and fixesTarekh is amazed to see it. The film closes with the arrival of a woman at the bicycle shop, namely Yara, her aunt. 

The storyline of this film is interesting and the German language is easy to understand. For the size of the educational film, the plot language is very interesting and the video shooting is very professional. Even though this is a German language learning film for beginners, when watching this film I feel that this film is very good and detailed in the story and other things. But unfortunately the story line seems a bit imposing, the transition feels broken, the climax is less tense, and the story is complicated. The moral of this film is how we live life stories as best as possible because there is always wisdom in it. Even though Nico lost his bag, Nico made new friends, learned German, learned German culture, and many more. There is always a wisdom behind every story we live.
